are found widely spread in varied habitats throughout Central and South
America.

Lighting: Full spectrum fluorescent UV
bulbs and a basking light are required.
Temperature range: Water 77°F Day 85°-90°F Night 75°F Basking 90°F
Food: Appropriate size crickets,
crayfish, fish, and rodents coated with calcium/vitamin supplement.
Housing/Habitat: Caimans should be housed in
a semi-aquatic environment with equal areas devoted to land and water. The aquatic area must be kept clean with a
good quality filter and frequent water changes. A submersible aquarium heater will keep the water at the required
temperature.
