A betta in a bowl or vase is a living environment for your desktop. Your fish will do best out of direct sunlight, but
try to keep him in a warm place.
Care Instructions:
Keep your bowl or vase full of water allowing 1" to 1 1/2" of air space between the water surface and the
decorative stones supporting the plant. Your Betta needs a small amount of air space to breathe. Use a water
treatment, such as Jack's Aquarium and Pets water dechlorinator, to remove the chlorine from the tap water
before adding room temperature water to the vase.
We recommend feeding your betta once a day. They are meat eating fish and will do well on freeze dried blood worms or
brine shrimp. Only feed what your betta will eat in 3 minutes. Uneaten food should not remain in the vase, as it will
just float to the bottom and rot, creating an unhealthy environment for your betta.
You will need to clean the water in the bowl or vase if the water becomes cloudy due to algae or excess food.
Carefully pour out the water, leaving about 1/3 of the water and the fish in the vase. Wipe the inside of the vase
with a dry paper towel. Add dechlorinated, room temperature water. Wipe vase clean with a clean, dry paper towel.
